A TV documentary about service users at Daniel Yorath House and Redford Court was screened last month on Sky 3.

The programme, made by YAP films, followed the progress of Helen, a service user at Daniel Yorath House, as she followed her programme of rehabilitation.

This follows a similar programme about two service users at Redford Court, Put Me Together Again, first shown on Channel 4 last year and repeated recently on Sky 3. This told the story of two more service users, Robert and Kay.

The films followed BIRT service users through their sometimes difficult journey to return to a near normal life.

Poignant and moving, the films tell the stories of people like Kay who has a 5-minute memory, Robert, an obsessive hoarder and Helen, who can’t say no to strangers.

The recent screening brought more interest and enquiries from people who didn't see them first time round or who have encountered brain injury since then.
