by The Brain Injury Rehabilitation Trust since 1996. |
Why Harry supports BIRT
Harry says: “In 1996 my friend Rupert was involved in a car accident which left him with a serious brain injury.
"Since 2002 he has been living at Kent House where he is able to live more independently while receiving the specialist care he needs.
"BIRT helps people regain the skills lost as a result of brain injury – whether caused by assault, road accident, stroke or illness. Their provision is tailor made for the individual, at different stages of rehabilitation.
"This cause is especially close to my heart. Services like those
provided by Kent House are crucial in helping people look to their future and
fulfil their potential.”
| Meeting Harry
All sponsors had a chance to be selected at random to meet
Harry at the pre-Marathon Pasta Party on Saturday night. Debbie Curran
and Becky Aldridge were the lucky two and enjoyed speaking and having
dinner with Harry at the party. Special thanks to Debbie and Becky for
their support.
