Corporate partnerships

If your company seeks a productive partnership with a charity that can help you meet your business objectives, the Trust will be pleased to work with you.

We are keen to develop new and sustainable partnerships in the corporate world. Many of our activities offer a number of potential branding opportunities and other business benefits to companies who share our vision of a better quality of life for people with disabilities.

Our unique strengths
By working in partnership with the Trust, your company can benefit from an association with an increasingly high-profile charity which has a range of unique strengths and expertise, for example:
  • our approach in delivering innovative, progressive services of the highest quality
  • our goal of matching our services with the needs of each individual and not the individual with our services
  • our capacity to deal with people who have extremely complex and challenging needs, often at the very extreme of disability
  • our commitment to creating new, innovative services in response to local needs
  • our increasing foothold in the public affairs arena and in parliamentary circles, helping us to influence decision-makers and opinion-formers
  • our ability to offer a range of skills and experience in PR, media relations, marketing and fundraising, which can be drawn to support and service a mutually beneficial partnership.
Many companies across the country have supported the Trust in many ways in recent years. Recent corporate partners include Barclays Bank, Halifax Bank of Scotland and Zurich Insurance.
How your company can help

We would be extremely grateful for your support in order to help us continue to provide the best possible services for people with complex needs throughout the country.

By supporting the Trust, you can motivate your staff and raise the profile of your organisation, while at the same time raising funds for a worthy cause.

Many of our activities offer a number of branding opportunities and other business benefits to companies who share our vision of a better quality of life for people with disabilities.

Please find below a few fundraising ideas which may be of interest to you. Should you wish to discuss these or any other ideas, please do not hesitate to contact us on 01444 239123 or email fundraising@thedtgroup.org

  • London Marathon. We are currently looking for teams to enter the 2009 London Marathon on behalf of The Disabilities Trust. If you would like to run for us, we would love to hear from you.
  • Adopt the Trust as your ‘charity of the year’. Hold several events throughout the year aiming for a specific fundraising target. Assign a leadership team for this project.
  • Dress differently day. Ask staff to pay £1 to dress down (or up!) for the day.
  • Staff quiz night. Hold an event in the canteen or your local pub and charge an entry fee. Perhaps you could ask questions about staff or the company? Offer up an additional day’s holiday for the winning team members.
  • Sponsored event. Pick from one of many sponsorship ideas… Organise a sponsored run, walk or cycle ride, or try something more adventurous such as a tandem skydive or abseil.
  • Nominated challenge. Ask employees to pay £1 to nominate another staff member for a challenge. Cover them in custard, sit them in a bath of baked beans… the choice is yours!
  • Promote a payroll giving campaign. Contact us for further information about helping the Trust by providing regular donations through payroll giving.
  • Sponsor one of our high-profile events. We are always on the lookout for corporate sponsors. Whether through monetary contributions, raffle and auction prize donations or staff helpers, your support can help make our event a success.
  • Organise a ‘team challenge’ at one of our units, such as redecorating or gardening - helping to boost the company’s profile in the local community as well as improve teamwork skills.
