Rehabilitation
We believe that every service user has the potential to benefit from continued rehabilitation regardless of the severity of their injury or how long ago it occurred. We aim to support each service user to achieve their optimal level of independence. The service follows BIRT’s well-established neurobehavioural model. Our team of skilled Rehabilitation Support Workers support each individual, helping them to re-learn skills lost as a result of their brain injury or to acquire new skills to help minimise the impact of their injury.
Each service user has an individual rehabilitation plan, which may include structured learning programmes, practising daily living skills, community access skills, behavioural management techniques, social skills training and vocational support

All staff complete BIRT’s programme of Brain Injury training. A full time Service Manager and full time Deputy Manager and Assistant Psychologist complete the staff team at 1101 Bristol Road. The service is supported by the Clinical Team at BIRT’s other West Midlands service, West Heath House.

Rock 'n' Roll night
 |
Our recent back to the fifties 'rock n roll night' included fancy dress, American 1950s food, music and a quiz. The biggest attraction was a 1956 pink Cadillac supplied by Frankies Yankees, allowing us all the opportunity to sit in it and take pictures. A big thank to you Frankies and also to Hollywood Bowl, Akrams, Frankie and Bennie and especially IJ Butchers for donating food. Plus to all the staff and families who made it such a great evening! |
