The new service, a partnership between the Brain Injury Rehabilitation Trust (BIRT) and the Northern Lincolnshire and Goole Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (NLAG), opened in 2007 to provide a neurological rehabilitation service for people with acquired brain injury and other neurological conditions in North Lincolnshire and its surrounding areas.
The awards are sponsored by Laing Buisson, a provider of data, statistics, analysis and market intelligence on the UK health, community care and childcare sectors.
Representatives from both BIRT/DT and NLAG attended the Awards ceremony last month.
Hilary McDaid, Centre Manager, said: “The enthusiasm and support for the centre has been amazing, both from families and commissioners and we are looking to the future as to how we can further extend and improve our services.”
Karen Griffiths, Divisional Manager of Clinical Sciences at Northern Lincolnshire and Goole Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust said: “This marks the extremely successful collaboration working relationship between ourselves and BIRT in running the centre.”
